Jill Haskins
STUDIO OWNER | DANCE INSTRUCTOR | CHOREOGRAPHER
Jill Haskins, is the owner and director of Jill's Studio. Born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Jill began dancing at just two years old and quickly developed a lifelong passion for the performing arts that continues to inspire her today.
With training in a wide variety of dance styles—including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, musical theatre, Broadway, acro, cheer, ballroom, country swing, and line dancing—Jill brings decades of experience to every class she teaches. She was also deeply involved in theatre throughout her childhood, studying acting and performing in numerous productions. During high school, she competed on drill team and at national dance competitions, and from 2002–2004 while attending college, proudly served as a professional cheerleader for the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL.
Education has always been a priority for Jill. She earned her Associate of Arts and Associate of General Studies degrees from Mesa Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science from Arizona State University in 2004. She later completed her Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College in 2022, becoming a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Today, Jill combines her passion for helping others with her love of teaching. In addition to directing Jill's Studio, she serves children and adults as a Speech-Language Pathologist and is the founder of Steamboat Therapy, a private practice dedicated to providing speech and language services across the lifespan. Her background in both education and healthcare allows her to foster confidence, communication, creativity, and personal growth in every student she teaches.
For 19 years, Miss Jill has been honored to teach dance in Douglas, Wyoming. She believes every child deserves a place where they feel encouraged, challenged, and celebrated. Her mission is to create a positive, nurturing environment where students develop not only strong technical skills but also confidence, discipline, friendships, and a lifelong love of the performing arts.
